Busy Bee Bags was started in 2012 in response for the need for more practical and educational classroom activities. It was started by Karen Peters, a professionally trained foundation phase teacher with many years of teaching experience.
Karen started Busy Bee Bags in 2012 after the birth of her second child and now a mother of three, she runs Busy Bee Bags full time and is lucky enough to be a stay at home Mom to her precious little ones.
Karen has a keen interest in activities that are both educational and fun for children so that they can learn without even realising it!
Initially Karen was selling Busy Bee Bags locally at markets and to family and friends but has since branched out and now sells to schools, parents, speech therapists and occupational therapists around the country.
Each Busy Bee Bag has been meticulously created and refined to teach a skill and keep the price down. Careful attention has been given to the design to ensure that a teacher can quickly explain the activity. It must be simple for any adult to explain while still allowing the child to achieve meaningful success.
There is a strong emphasis on fine motor skills too as it is so important to get little fingers moving in preparation for writing.
Parents who are looking for a fun, educational activity for home or while traveling, Busy Bee Bags are ideal as they are light, durable and easy to unpack and pack.
Busy Bee Bags strive to do three things;
Teach a required skill in a fun way
Easy to explain
Highest possible quality while keeping the costs as low as possible
Karen was kind enough to send my Harper a few Busy Bee Bags that she thoroughly enjoyed!!

She especially loved the Playdough Pics! Dough is her absolute favourite!
It was really great interacting with Harper in such a fun yet educational way! I was SUPER impressed with these Busy Bee Bags and even more so with my clever Harper!
